Eliminate oil from crankcase gases
Reducing emissions of crankcase gases from internal combustion engines has, and will continue to be a major environmental concern.
Alfa Laval addresses this concern with our oil mist separators – Defender 500 – designed to clean crankcase gases of oil droplets and soot – with separation efficiency up to 99.5%, depending on the version and application.
While cleaning the gases, the separator also conserves the reclaimed oil, depositing it back into the oil sump. The Defender is maintenance free during its lifetime of 20,000 hours of operation – no cleaning or service stops are required. The Alfa Laval centrifugal high speed separator is based on continuous flow disc stack technology where filter disposals are eliminated, increasing the engine availability.
The centrifugal oil mist separators comply with current and future emissions regulations and are technically developed to help you meet the global emissions regulations.
