Eliminate oil from crankcase gases

Reducing emissions of crankcase gases from internal combustion engines has, and will continue to be a major environmental concern.

Alfa Laval addresses this concern with our oil mist separators –PureVent and Alfdex – designed to clean crankcase gases of oil droplets and soot – with separation efficiency up to 99.5%, depending on the version and application.

While cleaning the gases, these solutions also conserve the reclaimed oil, depositing it back into the oil sump. Alfdex is maintenance free for the life of the engine, while PureVent only requires limited maintenance after 16,000 hours of operation. Both technologies eliminate filter disposal and increase engine availability.
